I highly recommend telehealth and Jen as a physical therapist. I have done several telehealth PT sessions with Jen to work on issues with posture and core strength, and am already noticing an improvement. Jen demonstrated stretches and exercises that I can do at home and provided videos that I can always refer to, which is so helpful.

Transformation through Movement and Manual Therapy Traditions

Movement is medicine and manual therapies can help you move better and free you from pain.

In sessions, you learn specific movements, exercises, and self-healing practices using a wide range of movement modalities along with acupressure and massage/myofascial release that help you sense your body, rewire your nervous system, and heal.

Your assignments may also include mindfulness, such as sipping your coffee mindfully, breathing exercises, or writing a gratitude list. I’ve also been known to ask clients to play an instrument for sheer joy, take a bath, journal, shake their fists, and hiss like an angry dragon. I may provide you with information you need to do your own acupressure or massage.

Your sessions

Your sessions are enhanced by movement activities drawn from a wide variety of physical therapy techniques as well as:

●     Yoga

●     Traditional flexibility and strength training

●     Qi Gong

●     Taoist practices

●     Chakra balancing

●     Developmental movement

●     Feldenkrais

●     Dance

●     Nia

●     Pilates

●     BrainDance

what to expect

First, we’ll do an intake to inquire about your health history and current issues. I perform an evaluation that includes testing your flexibility, strength, balance, movement patterns, core stability, joint mobility and more. We discuss goals and expected outcomes, then make a plan and begin treatment, which will consist of manual therapy, therapeutic movement and self empowerment.

Jen’s skill as a physical therapist combined with her study of alternative, complementary, and other nurturing modalities makes for a holistic and personalized experience.
