Classes are rooted in the pleasure principle: If it feels good, keep doing it; if it hurts, stop, and adapt what you do to feel better. I take this piece of wisdom that the practice of Nia has given me and incorporate it into all aspects of my work.
MedicineWithin Movement is for all people who are looking for a practice to support their overall health, mind, body, emotions and spirit, and is easily adapted for people who may be healing from injury or illness. This class is for adults and is accessible to all fitness levels and experience.

Through Movement We Transform
MedicineWithin Movement invites transformation through dance and a variety of somatic and embodiment practices. This is a space for connections, realizations, and emerging awareness with self and others, where you are guided in wise and curious facilitation, exploring mind, body, emotions, and spirit.
Movement modalities are woven into experiences that delight the soul, release emotions, and restore presence, wholeness, and vitality. I draw from the “Movement Matrix” which consists of the wide variety of movement forms that I’ve studied and practiced.
As a dancer and lover of movement, the journey has led my heart and feet on a colorful path, dipping and immersing in modalities such as Nia, Yoga, Afro-Brazilian, African, Lindy Hop, Brain Dance, Modern, Jazz, Ecstatic, Salsa, Qoya, Tai Chi, Capoeira, Qi Gong, Feldenkrais, Pilates, and WildCore.
I bring my own understanding, vision, and practice of movement to clients and students in everything I do. Weaving together my roles as a practitioner and healer brings forth a quality of magic and medicine.

Movement has been the most effective way for me to heal, grieve, sense, gain insight, clear energy and tap into my inner wisdom. It has helped my body and soul return to wholeness over and over again.
The dance floor is a playground for life. In MedicineWithin Movement classes we are invited to explore our physical and energetic bodies in both playful and profound ways. I have witnessed the healing that occurs through movement on the dance floor while teaching group classes and private sessions.
